Job Description

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a dynamic and motivated Senior / Principal Geo–Environmental Consultant specialising in contaminated land and brownfield development to join our award–winning Contaminated Land & Hydrogeology team. Based in our London office, you will be part of an award–winning group of contaminated land experts delivering innovative brownfield solutions to major UK infrastructure projects.

Your Role

  • Project management and technical delivery of contaminated land projects, including finances, programme delivery and technical reviews.
  • Providing technical guidance, mentoring to junior staff.
  • Liaison with clients, stakeholders, regulators, sub-contractors.
  • Supporting senior management in business development and commercial offers.
  • Working with the wider Sustainable Land and Resource Management team across the UK.

About You

  • Higher education in relevant engineering or science subject (geology, geography, hydrogeology, chemistry, earth sciences, environmental science).
  • Chartered Membership of relevant professional body (or willingness to achieve within 6-12 months).
  • Relevant post-graduate experience in consultancy with project management skills.
  • Technical leadership in Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Site Investigations, remediation design.
  • Commercial awareness and tender preparation.
  • Good working knowledge of contaminated land legislation and guidance.
  • Experience with NEC3/4 or ICE contracts, electricity substation/high voltage sites, MMPs, DoW Code of Practice, EIAs, risk assessment (P20, ConSim, CLEA), and GIS (QGIS/ArcGIS).
