Job Summary
Anord Mardix, a [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] company, is a global leader in critical power solutions. They manufacture switchgear and associated products for mission-critical and live commercial buildings. The EHS Advisor, based in Kendal at Westmorland Business Park, will report to the EHS Lead and be responsible for implementing EHS objectives, maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems, conducting inspections, audits, incident investigations, and promoting a strong EHS culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, maintain, communicate, and coordinate EHS objectives.
- Coordinate statutory requirements to fulfill EHS obligations.
- Maintain ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 management systems.
- Build close communication with other departments to ensure high EHS standards.
- Undertake reviews of EHS practices and procedures, complete inspections and audits.
- Publish and review RAMS to maintain risk management.
- Conduct active monitoring and safety tours.
- Communicate and maintain EHS policies and metrics.
- Proactively work with operational teams to integrate EHS.
- Identify EHS risks and assist in remedial actions.
- Contribute to incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Investigate occupational health surveillance issues.
- Represent the company to clients and subcontractors.
Experience & Qualifications Required
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (essential).
- Relevant work experience in an EHS role within Manufacturing, Construction, or Engineering.
- Extensive knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, and relevant standards.
- Ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to liaise with all levels and proven relationship-building track record.
