Head of Retail
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking an experienced Head of Retail to lead its retail operation, driving income growth and quality through effective leadership of a team of staff and around 500 volunteers. The role involves developing and delivering the retail strategy, identifying new sites and opportunities, and managing multiple projects. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record in achieving financial targets and managing resources, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

- Location: Bolton, UK
- Salary: £32,306 - £34,792 per annum (cost of living increase pending)
- Hours: Full-time (37.5 hrs per week, on site or hybrid working)

The Role
You will lead our successful retail operation, driving income growth and continuously improving quality through the effective leadership and development of a team of committed staff and around 500 volunteers. You will develop and lead on the delivery of our retail strategy, including the identification of new sites and other retail opportunities.
What You Need
We are looking for an experienced leader with significant experience in managing and developing a team. You will also need to have a demonstrable track record in achieving financial targets, effectively managing resources and identifying new business opportunities. You will be an excellent communicator and relationship builder, able to influence others and be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects. You will need to demonstrate a strong commitment to the hospice’s values - compassion, respect, professionalism, excellence, inclusivity and collaboration. You may or may not have a retail management background, but if you are passionate about our cause and have transferrable skills that you think would make you successful in this role, we would love to hear from you.
