Trade Engineer – Painter & Decorator (Voids)

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is looking for a skilled Trade Engineer – Painter & Decorator to join the Maintenance Operations team in Coventry. Salary: £34,729 per year. Full-time, permanent. Closing date: 10th May 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report to the Voids Supervisor to carry out maintenance, responsive repairs, and planned works across residential, public, and commercial properties.
  • Deliver high-quality painting and decorating services, as well as multi-skilled tasks.
  • Maintain accurate job records, documentation, and updates via handheld IT devices.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Take responsibility for company vehicles, equipment, materials, and van stock.
  • Participate in emergency call-out and flexible working rotas (08:00–18:00, Monday–Friday, plus out-of-hours).

Qualifications and Experience

  • Craft City & Guilds or S/NVQ Level 2 in Painting & Decorating.
  • Proven experience in domestic painting and decorating.
  • Experience delivering maintenance services within social housing (void and occupied properties).
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety best practice.
  • Full UK driving licence.
