FULL DESCRIPTION

Health Care Assistant - Westminster

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable live-in carer to support a gentleman in his early 60s living in Westminster. The client has a spinal cord injury and requires assistance with daily living activities, personal care, and mobility support.

  • Location: Westminster, SW1P
  • Requirements: At least 6 months Healthcare experience
  • Shift pattern: Live-in 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
  • Salary: £100-£135 a day

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care, including bowel management every other day (training can be provided if needed)
  • Assisting with transfers and mobility
  • Supporting daily routines, including dressing, hygiene, and meal preparation
  • Ensuring comfort, safety, and wellbeing at all times
  • Light household duties related to the client's care

  • Typically, our client base requires ongoing care, 24 hours a day, and benefit from the continuity of a small core team of regular care staff.
  • Our specialist carers work with one client per shift and do not travel between multiple homes. The average shift is duration 12hrs.
  • Where possible we will offer you work to meet your availability and as a guide, the average carer works three shifts (36hrs) per week for us and earns £500-555 p/wk.
  • The regular working patterns that our clients require mean this three day a week work pattern equates to an average annual income of between £26,200-£28,950.
  • We employ all staff directly and manage all aspects of your pay via PAYE, rather than Limited Company or Self-employed status.
