Role Purpose
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Warehouse and Operations Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the Charlbury site. This hands-on position is responsible for managing warehouse operations, supporting site facilities, and maintaining safe, organised, and efficient working practices. The role suits an experienced and practical individual who enjoys variety, responsibility, and being a reliable point of contact on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse and Stock Management
- Manage the Charlbury Plant warehouse, ensuring stock is organised, labelled, and stored correctly.
- Oversee customer returns, scrap materials, and equipment handling.
- Support accurate stock control and general warehouse organisation.
- Operations and Logistics
- Make occasional deliveries and collections using the company pool van.
- Load and unload goods safely using a forklift truck.
- Carry out and record documented forklift pre-use safety checks.
- Facilities Management
- Maintain good standards of housekeeping across the site.
- Liaise with site management and external contractors as required.
- Support general site upkeep and minor facilities coordination.
- Vehicle Management
- Carry out regular basic checks on company vehicles (tyres, fluids, and general condition).
- Report faults or issues promptly and accurately.
- Health and Safety
- Carry out site inductions for visitors and contractors.
- Conduct regular site audits to identify health and safety concerns.
- Highlight and escalate issues that require attention or corrective action.
- Promote a safe and compliant working environment at all times.
Person Specification
Essential
- Previous warehouse management or coordination experience.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Forklift Truck Licence.
- Good working knowledge of health and safety practices.
- Comfortable working in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
Desirable
- Experience within fluid power, hydraulics, or mechanical engineering sectors.
- Confident liaising with contractors and site colleagues.

Hours of Work
The Service Warehouse and Operations Coordinator will work 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday, and 08:30 to 16:00 Friday, 37.5 hours a week.
Location
This role will be based at our Charlbury site.
