CMM/Quality Inspector
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a CMM/Quality Inspector for their UK headquarters in Witney, Oxfordshire. This full-time role involves working 3pm to 1am Monday-Thursday.
Job Description
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] was founded in 1963 as an independent provider of hydraulic accessories and is today an internationally established group with over 10,000 employees, 50 branch offices and 500 trade and service partners world-wide. The CMM Quality Inspector will work 3pm to 1am Monday to Thursday. 38 hours a week with a 30-minute lunch break.
Duties
- Utilise metrology equipment and software such as our CMM, Form tracer, Surface Tester to aid the inspection process.
- Assist with CMM program and fixture creation.
- Accurate and appropriate measurement of product features to determine conformance/non-conformance to drawing.
- To carry out first-off inspection for the Machine Shop, and where necessary, assist with in-process inspection.
- To produce clear, concise, and presentable inspection reports.
- Responsible for the safe storage and upkeep of Inspection department measuring instruments, and to assist with calibration when necessary.
- Complete non-conformances and concessions when necessary and maintain relevant documentation.
- Follow goods-In inspection requirements for Material Compliance, checking material certs against drawings and releasing conforming material/products to Machine shop and/or Production.
- Assist in inspection of prototype products for Engineering/Inspection of products for Systems Department.
- Management may, from time to time, require you to carry out tasks in addition to your normal duties, provided these tasks are both reasonable and within your capabilities.

Essential Requirements
- Experience of working within an inspection department.
- CMM Operating experience with one of the following software: MCOSMOS, PCDMIS, Calypso, Aberlink or Quindos.
- Ability to use standard metrology equipment in the correct application, including but not limited to: Calipers, Bore Micrometers, Height Gauge, Surface Plate, Indicators, Pin and Ball Gauges.
- Experience with creating presentable inspection reports.
- Ability to read complex engineering drawings.
- Understanding of GD&T.
- Experience of working with customers and suppliers.
Desirable Skills
- Experience of using SAP
- CMM Programming experience (preferably MCOSMOS)
- Formtracer/Contracer/Surface tester experience
- Calibration Management experience
- Knowledge of Hydraulic Products
Hours of Work
The CMM Quality Inspector will work 3pm to 1am Monday to Thursday with a 30-minute lunch break, 38 hours a week.
Location
The role will be based at our UK headquarters in Witney, Oxfordshire.
