Dispenser

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Dispenser to join the team. This is a permanent, on-site position based at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] (and occasionally [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]). Salary: £25,877 per annum FTE pro rata for 32 hours per week (FTE 37 hours).

About Us

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is a flourishing group of three East Cambridgeshire practices in Ely, Haddenham and Soham, serving c.45,000 patients. We employ over 170 people and are people-centred. We run a large clinical research trials unit and are lead practice for one of the local PCNs.

The Role

To provide an efficient, accurate and timely dispensing service to registered patients and assist the dispensing team in meeting national, local and good practice guidelines.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with prescription collections and dispensing queries
  • Ensure prescription charges are collected and FP10 declarations signed
  • Securely store and record financial transactions
  • Forward invoices and correspondence to Dispensary Manager/Supervisor
  • Maintain efficient stock control, minimise wastage, check medications weekly
  • Assist with DSQS requirements, manage tasks in SystemOne
  • Check deliveries, store medications correctly, perform temperature logs
  • Process repeat prescriptions, pick medications, assist with Monitored Dosage Boxes and CD scripts
  • Maintain high hygiene standards, clean shelves and equipment
  • Cover for colleagues during leave
  • Manage risk, apply infection control, interpret national strategies
  • Use technology for data management, ensure confidentiality
  • Undertake learning and development, promote equality and diversity

Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Meticulous
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • NVQ2 Qualified

Advantageous: Previous experience in Primary Care or a pharmacy/dispensary.
