LOLER Lifting Engineer – Grays, Essex RM20

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] have a vacancy for a LOLER Lifting Engineer. Experience is required.

Duties

  • Carry out thorough examinations, inspections, and testing of lifting equipment in line with LOLER regulations.
  • Ensure all lifting equipment and accessories are safe, compliant, and fit for use.
  • Complete accurate inspection reports and certification documentation.
  • Identify faults, damage, or wear and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Liaise directly with customers regarding inspections, findings, and compliance requirements.
  • Predominantly depot based, with occasional site visits as required.
  • Participate in training programmes where required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience inspecting lifting equipment under LOLER regulations.
  • Relevant LEEA qualification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, including chains, slings, hoists, and lifting accessories.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Right to work in the UK.
