Legal Cashier – Full Time, Office Based
Ilford, Essex
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

A leading Legal 500 law firm based in Ilford is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Cashier to join its busy accounts team on a full-time, office-based basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with solid legal accounts experience to join a well-established and highly regarded firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day legal cashiering duties in compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Processing client and office account transactions
  • Handling bank reconciliations
  • Processing CHAPS, BACS and online payments
  • Posting and reconciling bills, invoices and receipts
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting procedures
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
  • Liaising with fee earners and support staff regarding account queries
  • Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier within a law firm is essential
  • Strong working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and IT skills
  • Experience using legal accounts software is advantageous
