[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group is seeking an experienced and values‑driven Tutor and PSHE Curriculum Lead to deliver high‑quality teaching to young people while leading the development of PSHE teaching and learning across [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Education. This dual‑focused role combines frontline tutoring with curriculum leadership, offering the opportunity to directly impact outcomes for young people and support colleagues to deliver consistently high‑quality provision.

Working closely with the Director of Education, tutors, families and the wider education team, you will ensure PSHE provision is engaging, relevant and aligned with organisational values and statutory expectations.

This is a hybrid role, involving home‑based working alongside community‑based tutoring and service‑wide curriculum activity.

The Role

As a Tutor and PSHE Curriculum Lead, you will:

  • Build secure, professional relationships with young people and their families
  • Plan and deliver effective, engaging teaching and learning tailored to individual needs
  • Deliver English, Maths and PSHE content using appropriate frameworks, including AQA Unit Awards where relevant
  • Positively and consistently manage behaviour in line with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] expectations
  • Monitor, assess and report on student progress using [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] systems and documentation
  • Lead the development, implementation and review of the PSHE curriculum across [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Education
  • Develop PSHE resources, guidance and planning materials to support tutors
  • Provide ongoing support, advice and informal coaching to tutors delivering PSHE
  • Identify PSHE training needs and contribute to the planning and delivery of CPD
  • Support curriculum innovation through research, trialling new approaches and sharing best practice
  • Contribute to a PSHE tutor resource bank
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities, policies and procedures at all times

Working Pattern & Salary

  • Full‑time employed role
  • Working pattern to be agreed based on service need
  • Hybrid working – home‑based with travel to tutoring sessions, meetings and training where required
  • Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
  • All required travel is reimbursed in line with company guidelines.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience of the UK curriculum
  • Experience working with young people with SEND or outside mainstream education
  • Experience planning and delivering engaging teaching and learning
  • Strong understanding of PSHE or willingness to lead curriculum development in this area
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities within education
  • Ability to work confidently as a lone worker
  • Access to own vehicle and willingness to travel

Desirable:

  • Honours degree
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • PSHE‑specific training or CPD
  • Experience supporting or training colleagues
  • Knowledge of GDPR and confidentiality requirements
  • Experience contributing to curriculum design or service‑wide resources
