Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Costs Draftsperson to join a busy and growing legal team based in the heart of Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality work, supporting colleagues, and achieving the best possible outcomes for clients. You will play a key role in providing specialist costs drafting support, managing your own caseload, and producing accurate, high-quality Bills of Costs, with a strong focus on Housing Disrepair claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting Bills of Costs using CostsMaster
  • Managing an allocated caseload and meeting deadlines
  • Providing dedicated costs support to legal teams and internal stakeholders
  • Working collaboratively within a close-knit team environment
  • Maintaining awareness of claim lifecycles to ensure excellent service delivery
  • Handling complex matters with confidence and initiative
  • Liaising with colleagues to maintain effective working practices and procedures
  • Using internal case management systems efficiently
  • Adapting positively to change and evolving business needs

About You

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in a Bill Drafting / Costs Draftsperson role
  • Strong working knowledge of CostsMaster
  • Good understanding of CPR, relevant legislation, case law, and costs regulations
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and research skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Experience using Proclaim is desirable
  • Qualified Costs Lawyer or degree-level education desirable
