Deputy Manager
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Consulting is recruiting a Deputy Manager for an independent children’s care home in Cannock. You’ll support the Registered Manager, lead a small nursing and care team, and ensure high-quality, trauma-informed, person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deputise for the Registered Manager and manage daily operations.
- Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support.
- Lead, supervise, and develop the care team.
- Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with families, social workers, and partner agencies.
Requirements
- Senior experience in children’s residential care (2+ years).
- Knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and safeguarding.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Understanding of trauma-informed care and children’s needs.
- Flexible, reliable, and passionate about improving outcomes for children.
