Deputy Manager

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Consulting is recruiting a Deputy Manager for an independent children’s care home in Cannock. You’ll support the Registered Manager, lead a small nursing and care team, and ensure high-quality, trauma-informed, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deputise for the Registered Manager and manage daily operations.
  • Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support.
  • Lead, supervise, and develop the care team.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Work closely with families, social workers, and partner agencies.

Requirements

  • Senior experience in children’s residential care (2+ years).
  • Knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and safeguarding.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed care and children’s needs.
  • Flexible, reliable, and passionate about improving outcomes for children.
