Security Team Leader

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking a Security Team Leader for a permanent, full-time role in Kensington, London. You will lead a team of Security Officers, ensuring safety and excellent visitor service. Salary £15.45 per hour.

About the Role

  • Lead, motivate and support a team of Security Officers to deliver safe, effective and professional operations.
  • Oversee daily security activity including patrols, access control, incident management and emergency response.
  • Ensure all duties are appropriately staffed through effective workforce coordination.
  • Conduct performance monitoring, appraisals and regular feedback.
  • Support training, mentoring and development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, museum policies and risk-management procedures.
  • Promote a positive, supportive working environment.
  • Balance robust security practices with excellent visitor service.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven supervisory or management experience within security, facilities or a public-facing environment.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills.
  • Solid understanding of security operations, health and safety legislation and emergency procedures.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • High levels of integrity, professionalism and reliability.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • A valid front-line SIA licence.
  • Ability to travel to and from central London during unsociable hours.
