Job Description
Associate Business Analyst
We are looking for a motivated Associate Business Analyst to join our team in Guildford, Surrey. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for candidates who want to develop skills in business analysis, customer engagement, and process improvement within a fast-paced technology environment.
You will work closely with customers, internal teams, and technical engineers to gather requirements, support solution delivery, and improve business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Gather and analyse customer requirements, translating business needs into structured solutions
- Conduct customer profiling and identify key business objectives
- Prepare clear documentation including reports, proposals, and process notes
- Support data analysis and interpret findings to assist decision-making
Stakeholder Communication & Client Engagement
- Act as a point of contact to communicate with stakeholders via email, phone, and meetings
- Participate in client discussions to understand requirements and propose suitable solutions
- Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to support client understanding
Process Improvement & Operations
- Analyse existing business processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency
- Support workflow optimisation and contribute to operational best practices
- Assist in coordinating project rollout by liaising with customers and internal teams
Project & Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate records using internal systems (ERP)
- Track customer interactions, enquiries, and project progress
- Support cross-functional teams including sales, technical, and operations
Preferred Skills
- Basic understanding of business analysis, data analysis, or related fields
- Strong communication and ability to manage stakeholder relationships
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Logical thinking and structured problem-solving ability
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools is an advantage
- Knowledge of IT systems or software is a plus

Working Hours
Full-time – 37.5 hours/week (Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm)
Salary
£21,600 – £25,200 per annum (Equivalent to £1,800 – £2,100 per month)

- Tech-savvy and comfortable picking up technical knowledge
- Strong written and spoken English
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Team player with a logical, problem-solving approach
- Professional communication and excellent phone manner
- Experience or knowledge in IT is advantageous
- Proficiency in modern foreign languages (e.g. French, Spanish) is a plus

Education & Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English
