Head of Radiology Department / Consultant Radiologist (Leadership Role)
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Clinic, part of the internationally recognized [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], is seeking a visionary leader to head the Diagnostic Imaging Department. This role is open to either an experienced Radiology Manager or a Consultant Radiologist with proven leadership ability.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Governance: Provide strategic direction, champion clinical governance, and ensure CQC, IR(ME)R 2017 compliance.
- Service Growth & Business Development: Drive referral network expansion and launch new imaging services.
- Operational Management: Oversee MRI, CT, Ultrasound, X-ray; manage budgets and KPIs.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead radiographers, sonographers, and admin staff; recruit and train.
- Collaboration & Innovation: Work with hospital leadership and referring clinicians to innovate imaging techniques.
Candidate Profile
Option A: Radiology Manager – HCPC-registered Radiographer with BSc, experience in acute/private care, clinical governance and business development.
Option B: Consultant Radiologist – GMC-registered with broad imaging experience in MRI and CT, leadership duties, business acumen.
For Both: Extensive UK radiology regulations knowledge (CQC, IR(ME)R 2017), business development track record, excellent organisational and IT skills.
