Procurement Manager (Resources, Place & Capital)

About the role
Are you ready to take the next step in your procurement career and make a real difference to the communities we serve? At [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], we are currently looking for two experienced procurement professionals to join and support both our Resources and Place and Capital Business Partner teams. As procurement managers you will play a central role in shaping how we deliver high quality, value for money services across the Council for our residents and communities.
What will you be doing?
- Support the delivery of a complex and varied procurement pipeline, balancing strategic priorities with operational delivery.
- Be a trusted adviser to key service stakeholders, influencing decisions and supporting major programmes across Council services.
- Ensuring robust governance, compliance, and risk management processes are adhered to incorporating the latest changes in policy and legislation.
- Focus on driving process development, including opportunities to innovate and add value.
- Champion our business partner model, raising the profile of procurement and ensuring best practice is consistently applied across the organisation.
About you
- Full MCIPS or studying towards (level 4 minimum)
- Able to demonstrate experience in successfully managing complex procurement processes.
- Working knowledge of public sector procurement regulations both PA23 and PCR 2015.
- Able to develop and build relations across the organisation with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills and be able to provide clear advice and support for complex processes.
