Public Engagement Officer

Key Responsibilities
- Implement communication campaigns aligned with the UK public engagement strategy.
- Set up analytics tools and produce regular performance reports.
- Deliver high-quality online and in-person events in line with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s strategy.
- Maintain and segment mailing lists, manage RSVPs, and coordinate pre-event logistics.
- Develop marketing materials including invitations, social media graphics, and newsletters.
- Coordinate distribution via [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] websites, social media, and internal publications.
- Liaise with the Communication & Publication department for brand compliance.
- Manage post-event follow-up and stewardship of donors.
- Deliver tours of the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] for key stakeholders.
- Oversee creation of multimedia content (presentations, newsletters, videos, graphics).
- Support scheduling and publishing of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] content across internal websites and partner platforms.
- Track engagement trends and respond to comments or messages.
- Provide support to the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] UK Communications team on ad hoc campaigns.
Person Specifications
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in communications, marketing, and events.
- Experience supporting campaigns, content creation, and/or event delivery.
- Previous experience as Marketing Communications Coordinator desirable.
- Charity or non-profit sector experience is desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills.

- CRM or database management tools (desirable)
