Job Description
As our Bar Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the bar's operations, from managing a dynamic team of bartenders to ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. You’ll play a key role in crafting the drink menu, maintaining inventory, managing the bar's finances, and delivering an unforgettable customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a team of bartenders and bar staff, ensuring excellent service, proper training, and high morale.
- Customer Service Excellence: Ensure that all customers receive outstanding service and attention, handling customer concerns and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Inventory & Stock Control: Oversee inventory management, placing orders for supplies, and ensuring proper stock levels while minimizing waste and loss.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with the team to develop creative drink menus, incorporating current trends and seasonal ingredients.
- Staff Training: Provide ongoing training and development for bar staff, including bartending techniques, customer service skills, and safety standards.
- Financial Management: Monitor bar sales, manage cash handling, and ensure that daily revenue is accurately recorded.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of alcohol, hygiene standards, and legal requirements (e.g., responsible alcohol service).
- Bar Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly and the space is stocked and organized.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Bar Manager, Assistant Bar Manager, or in a similar supervisory role in a high-volume setting.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and drink trends, with the ability to train others on drink preparation and presentation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, professional attitude.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven experience in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and financial reporting.
