Description
To ensure agreed standards are maintained on a consistent basis with particular attention to maintenance and hygiene in bedrooms, public areas and linen. To ensure rooms are fully checked to company 4* standard prior to returning them to reception.
Key Duties
- Ensure assigned rooms, bathrooms, corridor areas and public areas are cleaned to the standards using approved chemicals/equipment and replenish stocks.
- Ensure bed linen and towels are changed to agreed schedule and standard.
- Maintain accommodation trolley, caddies and storage presses tidy and stocked.
- Ensure any guest property left behind is passed to Accommodation Manager for lost property.
- Alert Accommodation Manager to needs of accommodation staff for materials or equipment.
- Maximize use of all resources and ensure lowest cost levels.
- Report any maintenance issues to supervisor/manager promptly.
- Liaise with supervisor regarding room moves, VIP guests, and special needs.
- Inform supervisor of room status on an ongoing basis.
- Actively participate in training, meetings and personnel exercises to improve standards.
- Carry out hotel’s customer relation policy.
- Communicate hotel services to guests.
- Receive customer complaints courteously and sympathetically and report to manager.
- Arrive for duty by rostered times in full clean uniform and wearing name badge.
- Ensure highest standards in personal hygiene and grooming.
- Report DND or No Service every day.
- Keep corridors free from debris at all times.
- Be responsible for key cards in your possession.
- Report all accidents to the Manager on Duty.
- Comply at all times with Fire, Security Health and Safety Procedures.
