We are growing our pastry team and looking for passionate individuals to help deliver creative, high-quality desserts and baked goods in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Commis Pastry Chef to join our pastry team. In this role, you will support the pastry section with preparation, production, and presentation of desserts, pastries, and baked items, while developing your skills under experienced senior chefs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of desserts, pastries, breads, and baked goods
  • Follow recipes and presentation standards consistently
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic pastry section
  • Support senior pastry chefs during service and preparation
  • Ensure stock is stored correctly and rotated (FIFO system)
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks and mise en place
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures

Requirements

  • Previous kitchen or pastry experience preferred but not essential
  • Passion for pastry and desire to develop culinary skills
  • Strong attention to detail and presentation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
