As we continue to grow, we’re on the lookout for a passionate and talented Sous Chef to join our team.

Location: 63-69 Canonbury Rd, London N1 2DG, UK

Salary: £44,000 - £49,000 / Year

About You

We are looking for a Sous Chef with a genuine passion for food, ideally with previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will need to be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to lead by example. A strong understanding of food safety, health and safety regulations, and kitchen operations is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the kitchen team to ensure high standards of food quality and consistency.
  • Support the Head Chef with menu planning, development, and execution of daily specials.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking, ensuring dishes are produced to the highest quality.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Assist with stock control and ordering of ingredients.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Assist in managing kitchen budgets and minimising waste.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior chef de partie.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • A passion for fresh, quality ingredients and innovative cooking.
