Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a dedicated Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist to work as a Learning Support Assistant in a school in Woking. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £90 to £105 per day.
The School
The school near Woking provides a safe learning environment for children aged 2-19 with complex and severe learning needs. Students often have multiple diagnoses and require therapies including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Music, and Speech and Language Therapy. The school features excellent facilities such as a therapy pool, sensory rooms, and I-Gaze technology, with on-site training and CPD.
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare resources for teaching and learning activities
- Plan learning activities to suit pupil ability with support from a teacher
- Work 1:1 and in small groups with students
- Develop knowledge and experience to deliver appropriate support
- Encourage the development of social skills and support individual needs
- Provide behaviour and pastoral support
- Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD
- Ensure safeguarding of students
