Role Overview
Are you passionate about helping children with additional needs to reach their full potential? [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking an Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist for a special needs school in Camberley. You will support a small class, working alongside qualified Speech and Language Therapists (SALT) to deliver interventions focusing on language acquisition. This role is ideal for graduates in Psychology, Criminology, or Social Science looking to gain experience before pursuing a career in Speech and Language Therapy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in providing learning experiences for students
- Provide behaviour and pastoral support
- Build robust and effective relationships with students
- Take a practical approach to meet individual student needs
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Work 1:1 and in small groups with students
- Ensure safeguarding of students
- Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD
Requirements
- No previous experience required
- GCSE in English and Maths
- Degree in Psychology, Criminology, or Social Science (beneficial)
- Right to work in the UK – no visa sponsorship available
- Ability to travel to Camberley and surrounding areas

Start date: ASAP, Camberley
Excellent on-site education and training, support and CPD provided
£90-£100 per day, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30, term time only
Enhanced DBS and/or overseas police check required
