1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Gloucester

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Ltd is seeking a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream primary school in Gloucester, working closely with a pupil who requires additional learning support. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education and eager to help a child reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 tailored support for a pupil with special educational needs (SEN) to help them access the curriculum and thrive in the classroom.
  • Implement strategies and interventions outlined in the child’s education plan.
  • Support the pupil’s emotional, social, and academic development throughout the school day.
  • Work in close collaboration with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers and contribute to progress reviews and reports.

What We’re Looking For

  • Prior experience working with children, ideally in a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant capacity.
  • Background in SEN support (ASD, ADHD, speech & language, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Two professional references.

Salary & Contract Details

Salary: £89 - £100 per day | Employment Type: Full Time | Contract Type: Short Term Supply | Location: Gloucester, UK
