Cover Supervisor
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is recruiting a Cover Supervisor in Portsmouth. Full-time, term-time only. Salary: £21,000 to £25,000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson work and ensure students remain on task
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Take attendance and ensure lessons start and finish on time
- Collect completed work and report back to teaching staff
Requirements
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting is desirable
- Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
