SEMH Teaching Assistant

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] are seeking a dedicated, caring, and enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist school in Dunstable. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs, particularly within a school environment where sport and physical activity play a key role in student engagement and development.

Location: Dunstable | Pay: £460–£500 per week | Sector: Education and Training | Setting: Specialist School (SEMH)

The Role

  • Support learners with anxiety, low self-esteem, behavioural and emotional regulation difficulties, trauma-related and attachment needs, and challenges with social interaction.
  • Work with teaching staff and inclusion teams to help students manage emotions, build confidence, develop social skills, and stay engaged through classroom and practical activities.
