Primary SEN Teacher – Complex Needs

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] are working in partnership with a fantastic Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in the Sutton Coldfield who are seeking a Primary SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis until July 2026.

Salary: £160 to £180 per day | Location: Sutton Coldfield | Job Type: Full-time, Short Term Supply

Job Responsibilities

Teach and nurture a small class of primary-aged pupils with complex learning needs.
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that promote communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide a holistic approach to learning.
Use a range of communication and sensory strategies (e.g. PECS, Makaton, AAC) to support engagement and progress.
Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.

Requirements

Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
Has experience teaching children with SEN, ideally within a special school or mainstream inclusion setting.
Demonstrates creativity, patience, and resilience in supporting diverse learning needs.
Works collaboratively with colleagues and families to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
Is passionate about inclusive education and making a genuine impact.
