Are you a graduate who is looking to kickstart your career in psychology? Do you come from an education background and are looking to explore working with children’s mental health? A welcoming primary school in Oxford are looking for a new mental health assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This role is ideal for aspiring psychologists who are looking for invaluable experience, supporting vulnerable children within a primary school setting.

Within this role you will support pupils 1:1 and in small groups to work towards their academic goals. You will become familiar with the national curriculum and tailor activities to meet individual needs. In this role, you will encounter pupils with a range of SEN and SEMH needs, such as ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties and attachment disorders.

What to Expect

• Primary School Setting
• £89-£100 per day
• Supporting pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
• Immediate start available

Ideal Candidate

This role is ideal for a psychology graduate who is looking for invaluable classroom experience to help them on their way to becoming a psychologist. It is also suited to experienced teaching assistants who have an interest in mental health support and wish to support this avenue further.
