This role is ideal for an experienced teacher or current second-in-department who is passionate about Mathematics, curriculum development, and raising standards for all learners. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing Maths department across KS3–KS5
- Drive outstanding teaching, learning, and outcomes in Maths
- Design and implement an ambitious, engaging curriculum
- Support, coach, and inspire members of the Maths team
- Monitor progress, use data effectively, and implement strategies for improvement
- Play a key role in whole-school development as a middle leader
Person Specification
- Qualified teacher with QTS and a specialism in Maths
- Proven experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Evidence of strong classroom practice and excellent behaviour management
- Experience in, or readiness for, a leadership or management role
- Highly organised, reflective, and committed to continuous improvement
- Passionate about making a meaningful difference to students’ outcomes
