FULL DESCRIPTION
Teaching Assistant
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is working closely with primary schools across Barry and the Vale of Glamorgan to find enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to provide both 1:1 support and general classroom assistance.
This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to make a real difference in children’s education while gaining valuable experience across a range of schools and year groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning needs (ALN)
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities
- Support small groups of pupils to reinforce learning
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children (school or childcare setting desirable)
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
- Two professional references
