A thriving secondary school in Staines is seeking a passionate and dedicated Design Technology Teacher to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity from April/September 2026 to inspire students in a supportive and creative learning environment.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will:

  • Teach Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Deliver engaging, practical lessons that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.
  • Support students in developing skills in resistant materials, graphics, and product design.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and modern technology to enhance learning.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and creative projects.

Candidate Requirements

  • A relevant degree in Design Technology or a related field.
  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
  • A passion for creativity and innovation in education.
