FULL DESCRIPTION

Fire Sprinkler Project Engineer

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is recruiting a Fire Sprinkler Project Engineer for a contract role in Birmingham, West Midlands. Up to £450 per day. Part-time or rotational full-time options available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out site surveys of existing sprinkler systems.
  • Mark up red-line drawings and as-fitted documentation to record required changes.
  • Review proposed scopes of work for compliance and buildability.
  • Verify that proposed works correctly address the identified non-compliances.
  • Identify and report additional sprinkler system non-compliances discovered during site surveys.
  • Provide clear findings and technical feedback to the Contractor's Responsible Engineer.
  • Support the planning and organisation of sprinkler system alterations.
  • Undertake sprinkler system design work where required.

Qualifications & Professional Memberships

Required

  • CSCS Card
  • LPCB Basic Sprinkler Design Competency OR BAFSA/ABBE qualification (Level 2, 3, or 5)

Desirable

  • Sentinel Card
  • CITB SSSTS / SMSTS and/or IOSH Managing Safely
  • HNC / HND / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Professional membership of IFE, IMechE, or APM
  • Professional registration (EngTech, IEng, CEng)
  • Knowledge of Network Rail standards, BS 9992, sub-surface railway regulations
  • Experience with sprinkler system design, Bluebeam PDF, trace heating and insulation
