Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Solderer for an ongoing contract in Berkshire. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the production of various types of cables.

Key Responsibilities

• Soldering Socapex connectors (18‑way, cable sizes up to 2.5 mm²) to a high and repeatable standard
• Preparing, stripping, tinning, and terminating cables accurately and efficiently
• Working from wiring diagrams, build sheets, and workshop instructions
• Maintaining clean, neat, and reliable solder joints suitable for professional power distribution equipment
• Conducting basic continuity and quality checks on completed assemblies
• Managing your own workflow to meet daily and weekly output targets
• Keeping your workstation organised, safe, and production‑ready
• Collaborating with the workshop team to ensure smooth production flow

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven track record of fast, accurate soldering - this is non‑negotiable
• Experience soldering multi‑pin connectors (Socapex experience highly preferred)
• Basic knowledge of power and electrical principles (e.g., cable ratings, polarity, safe handling)
• Ability to follow technical drawings and wiring documentation
• Consistency: able to produce the same high standard repeatedly, not just occasionally
• Reliability and pride in workmanship

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday, 8.30am to 5pm, and Friday 7.45am to 4pm
