Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and laminate composite components for road car production
- Prepare, manufacture, and maintain mould tooling
- Perform vacuum bagging processes for composite parts
- Operate mini autoclaves in line with production requirements
- Maintain the highest quality standards across all composite manufacturing activities
- Support the Team Leader in prioritising workloads and coordinating daily activities
- Act as a deputy to the Team Leader when required
- Contribute to the training and development of team members
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with brand standards
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
- Lead by example and support production operatives across the department
- Assist across all departmental processes as needed
- Deliver work to demanding deadlines within a high-performance environment
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in composites, automotive, or manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of composite materials and processes
- Hands-on experience with pre-preg laminating techniques
- Understanding of quality standards and defect identification
- Experience conducting consolidation checks
- Ability to work independently and use initiative with minimal supervision
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and technical manuals
- Solid understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
- Demonstrated practical expertise developed through hands-on experience and training
