Compliance Lead
This Compliance Lead role involves ensuring regulatory compliance in FTC-regulated marketing, fintech, and affiliate ecosystems. Key responsibilities include monitoring affiliate claims, reviewing marketing copy, and managing compliance systems without a legal team.
Requirements
- Background in compliance, legal, or risk management within FTC-regulated marketing, financial publishing, fintech, or direct-response marketing.
- Hands-on knowledge of FTC Endorsement Guides (2023 update), TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and the Publisher’s Exemption under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
- Direct exposure to affiliate ecosystem compliance: monitoring affiliate claims, drafting affiliate agreements, and managing takedowns.
- Experience reviewing marketing copy, VSLs, email sequences, and webinar scripts for compliance risk.
- Typicality and earnings claim analysis.
- Understands digital marketing mechanics: funnels, copywriting psychology, affiliate channels.
- Comfortable working without a formal legal team — must be a self-starter who builds systems from scratch.
