Role Overview

As a Property Assistant you will work closely with the fee earners and become an integral part of a well-regarded and well-known property team, who carry out interesting work. Providing high level administrative and secretarial support where required.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Take phone calls that are not taken by advisers and relaying messages as appropriate
  • Scan documents that are not picked up centrally by the Facilities support team
  • Print letters and documents and locating enclosures
  • Typing letters, emails and attendance notes
  • Dealing with searches – obtaining quotes and arranging searches
  • Obtaining documents from the Land Registry
  • Make payment requests and expense claims in time, date and priority order
  • Open new matters when the person primarily responsible for this is away
  • Archive original documents and close files
  • Assist with printing out files and checking their contents for costing purposes when the person primarily responsible for this is away

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce work of a consistently high standard
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in legal research tools, case management and MS applications (desirable)
  • Be proactive, methodical, and analytical in their approach to work
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly.
