Deputy Headteacher

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group is seeking an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to join the senior leadership team at Silverways School in Enfield, London. Salary: £67,176 - £73,708 per annum. Permanent, full-time position. Closing date: 12/05/2026.

The Role

Working closely with the Headteacher, the Deputy Headteacher will:

  • Provide inspirational leadership and contribute to the strategic vision of the school
  • Support and, where appropriate, lead on teaching and learning, curriculum development, behaviour, safeguarding, and inclusion
  • Take a leading role in staff development, coaching, and performance management
  • Contribute to whole-school self-evaluation and improvement planning
  • Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and assume Headteacher responsibilities in their absence

This is a key leadership position for someone passionate about making a genuine difference to the lives of pupils with special educational needs and supporting staff to be their best.

  • Experienced and successful senior or middle leader with a strong track record of impact
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Deep understanding of high-quality teaching, learning, and inclusion
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

  • Ideally experience within a special school or alternative provision (not essential)
