Location: Nottingham. Salary: £32,916 - £51,047 + SEN allowance £2,786. Closing Date: 30/05/2026. Job Type: Permanent - Full Time.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge children and young people.
- Foster a positive learning environment that supports educational and personal growth.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
- Participate in school activities, extracurricular programs, and professional development.
- Promote exemplary standards of behaviour and understand safeguarding procedures.
- Contribute to risk assessments and maintain records regarding behaviour, welfare, and safeguarding.
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Qualification in SEND education is desirable
- Experience with children with SEND and ASC
- Strong understanding of social, emotional and behavioural needs
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships
- Experience in teaching Science as a specialism
- Strong classroom management and de-escalation skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
