Location: Nottingham. Salary: £32,916 - £51,047 + SEN allowance £2,786. Closing Date: 30/05/2026. Job Type: Permanent - Full Time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge children and young people.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that supports educational and personal growth.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Participate in school activities, extracurricular programs, and professional development.
  • Promote exemplary standards of behaviour and understand safeguarding procedures.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and maintain records regarding behaviour, welfare, and safeguarding.

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Qualification in SEND education is desirable
  • Experience with children with SEND and ASC
  • Strong understanding of social, emotional and behavioural needs
  • Ability to build positive, trusting relationships
  • Experience in teaching Science as a specialism
  • Strong classroom management and de-escalation skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
