[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] (part of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group).

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support pupils’ learning, confidence and independence
  • Provide 1:1 and group support to help pupils access the curriculum
  • Use positive behaviour strategies to maintain a safe, calm environment
  • Help organise classrooms and resources
  • Observe pupils and share key information with teachers
  • Assist with planning, assessment and record‑keeping
  • Communicate well with staff, pupils, parents and professionals
  • Promote safeguarding and pupil wellbeing at all times
  • Take part in training and ongoing development

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience of working as a TA, experience across both mainstream and specialist teaching settings is desirable
  • Experience of supporting pupils with special educational needs and SEMH requirements

  • Good safeguarding awareness
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for education and helping students thrive
  • Understanding of diverse needs and EHCP requirements
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, organisational and IT skills
  • GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and maths
