Release Train Engineer

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is looking for an experienced and inspiring Release Train Engineer to join the Lean-Agile Centre of Excellence. This role involves leading scaled agile events, coaching teams, and optimizing delivery flow. Hybrid working pattern – 2 days per week in any of the UK [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Offices (Bournemouth, London or Stockport). Full time hours per week. Fixed Term contract. Top skills: Coaching & People Development, Flow Optimisation & Continuous Improvement, Advanced SAFe knowledge and facilitation skills.

Key Actions

  • Facilitate PI Planning: organises and leads PI Planning events, ensuring teams and stakeholders are prepared.
  • Support PI execution: monitor progress, resolve impediments, manage risks, facilitate scaled agile events.
  • Coach the PDS: lead and mentor Scrum Masters, coach leadership and teams.
  • Optimise PDS flow: analyse and improve flow of value, remove bottlenecks, streamline processes.
  • Improve relentlessly: drive culture of learning, facilitate I&A, encourage experimentation.
  • Support the transformation: contribute to agile transformation roadmap.

Requirements

  • SAFe RTE qualification
  • 3+ years of experience as a RTE in software delivery environment
  • Experience in Scrum and scaled agile frameworks
  • Proven experience in people management
  • IT related under-graduate degree
