Sales & Supply Support Coordinator

At [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement. Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home 2 days per week, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.

Role

Reporting to the Sales Planning Section Manager (SPSM), the Sales & Supply Coordinator (SSC) is the main point of contact for Dealers, Sales Area Managers (SAM) and office-based associates for all issues concerning the sale and supply of motorcycles. The SSC is responsible for managing Ageing Stock and direct-selling of motorcycles to the Dealer Network, ordering demonstrators and mandatory stock bikes, placing orders where necessary, as well as a range of ad-hoc projects. Strong interpersonal skills are a key requirement of the role as is the ability to demonstrate sales skills on a daily basis with a positive “can-do” attitude. The individual will be an integral part of a team and will work closely with both office and field-based associates. Daily contact with dealers by telephone and email is a key part of the role so strong and clear communication skills will be essential. You will be a key point of contact and therefore a Brand Ambassador for [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] to the network. This role will suit a proactive team player who wants to have an impact for the market leading motorcycle brand in the UK.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the dealer network, SAM’s and internal colleagues in all aspects relating to sales and supply of new motorcycles with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Communication with the dealer network on a regular basis to share information, build relationships and fulfil stock gaps.
  • Undertake sales and stock projects on an ad-hoc basis including wholesales for Aged Stock.
  • Provide estimated and factual supply information for all models in the range when required.
  • Coordinate the order and release of new model demonstrator and initial stock allocation.
  • Coordinate the supply and sale of Road and Off Road Special Editions.
  • Credits – coordinate and reconcile across various departments.
  • Provide regular reports including Core stock.
  • Identify opportunities, including best practice, to improve day to day business operations.

  • Ability to be flexible and adaptive.
  • Support and participate in [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] events as required.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Required

  • Confident and articulate communicator – needs to be a Brand Ambassador for [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal].
  • PC literate – Good understanding of Microsoft office with focus on Excel and Access.
  • Proactive self starter who demonstrates a high level of initiative.
  • Ability to converse at all levels across all mediums (face to face, telephone and written).
  • Excellent time management, able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Strong Numerical and Problem-Solving skills, with acute attention to detail.
  • Relationship focused.
  • Understanding of business process from initial order through to delivery.

Desirable

  • Motorcycle knowledge would be preferable not essential.
  • Sales background a benefit but not a requirement.
