Accounts Payable Controller

The Role

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Controller to join our Finance team in Redditch. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and supporting the wider finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process, code, and match invoices in line with company policies
  • Manage high volumes of invoices in a timely and efficient manner
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries professionally and promptly
  • Work closely with Procurement to resolve discrepancies
  • Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations
  • Support month-end close activities, including purchase ledger close
  • Prepare weekly multi-currency payment runs for approval
  • Process credit notes and maintain accurate ledger records
  • Conduct GRNI analysis and reconciliation
  • Support cash posting and sales invoice generation
  • Manage incoming finance-related emails and correspondence

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in high-volume invoice processing within a fast-paced environment
  • Ideally from a manufacturing background (minimum 5 years’ experience)
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident using MS Office, particularly Excel
  • A proactive team player with a hands-on approach
  • Able to quickly learn new systems and processes
  • Equipped with strong communication and interpersonal skills
