Concierge Security Officer - Cambridge - CB4

As a Front of House Security Officer you will provide a professional, client‑facing presence at reception while also carrying out core security duties.

  • 45 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00

The Opportunity

As a Front of House Security Officer you will provide a professional, client‑facing presence at reception while also carrying out core security duties. The role is focused on customer service, contractor management, and supporting the Facilities Manager and wider site team. Your duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Act as a client‑facing reception presence, welcoming visitors and occupiers in a professional and friendly manner
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service, handling enquiries and supporting front‑of‑house operations
  • Manage contractor sign‑in, inductions, and access, ensuring site procedures are followed
  • Carry out security duties including access control, patrols, monitoring alarms, and incident reporting
  • Support the Facilities Manager and site team with day‑to‑day operational activities and issue reporting
  • Maintain site standards at reception and shared areas, escalating concerns where required
  • Respond to incidents or security matters in line with site procedures and escalation routes

Full in-house training will be provided.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Valid SIA Licence
  • Right to work in the UK and a five-year checkable history
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Passionate about creating an expectational customer experience
  • Knowledge of the MS packages (excel, word, outlook)
  • Highly intuitive with a curious mindset
  • Highly presentable in line with our corporate brand
  • Resilient and pro-active in your work
