Job Description

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is proud to be supporting a highly regulated financial services organisation to recruit an AI & Automation Specialist.

This is a key hands-on delivery role focused on building and deploying AI and automation solutions in a safe, structured and commercially meaningful way. You will be responsible for taking prioritised use cases and turning them into secure, production-ready solutions using Microsoft 365 tooling.

The emphasis is not on experimental AI for the sake of it, this role is about pragmatic, responsible delivery. You will work within defined guardrails to ensure solutions are designed with the right controls, access boundaries and long-term supportability in mind.

In the initial phase, the focus will be on delivering high-quality automation and agent-based solutions (including M365 Copilot and Power Platform), while establishing reusable delivery patterns and standards. You will play a key role in building credibility through consistent, well-governed delivery.

You’ll be working closely with the AI Product Lead, as well as Information Security, Cyber and Technology Risk teams, ensuring all solutions align with policy, audit and control requirements. You’ll be joining a collaborative, stakeholder-led environment where quality, control and attention to detail are critical. This is a role for someone who enjoys hands-on delivery and wants to build solutions that are secure, scalable and genuinely valuable.

Hybrid working: 2 days per week on-site.

What they’re looking for

  • Proven experience delivering automation solutions into production using Power Automate or similar tools
  • Experience building or configuring Copilot Studio agents or equivalent AI / conversational solutions
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 tooling and how it integrates across the business
  • Experience working in regulated environments with strong governance and control requirements
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical, scalable solutions
  • Understanding of permissions, access controls and information risk within an enterprise setting
  • Experience delivering production-ready solutions including testing, defect resolution and early-life support
  • Comfortable working across both hands-on build and solution design

Desirable:

  • Experience with Power Platform governance (environments, DLP, connector risk)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Purview (sensitivity labels, DLP, audit)
  • Experience with Power Apps where relevant
  • Exposure to CI/CD approaches within Power Platform
  • Understanding of SharePoint information architecture
  • Experience supporting benefits tracking / value measurement

This is an opportunity to play a key role in how AI & Automation solutions are delivered within a regulated environment, focusing on quality, control and real business impact, while building reusable and scalable solutions.
