Job Specification

• Membership of a relevant professional body with Chartered Status and/or educated to degree level.
• Relevant experience in the management, control planning & delivery of construction and engineering programmes and projects.
• Detailed knowledge and experience of investment principles, supporting programme and project control disciplines (risk, estimating, planning, change, cost and value management) and supporting technology solutions.
• Experience of programme and project management techniques including contract management and administration within rail and/or UK construction industry.
• Excellent communicator to provide insights and analysis to a range of customer and stakeholders.
• Experience of contract administration and management, financial controls and Lines of Defence.
• Experienced in the use of data and analytics to fully understand an issue, engage stakeholders and lead the implementation of business-wide change and continuous improvement.
• Experience of leadership, team and line management to drive performance.
• Relevant project management qualification.
• Experience of the rail industry and its regulatory framework, or a similarly regulated industry.
• Knowledge of the principles of Government investment processes and procedures.
• Formal qualification in Programme Management, e.g. MSP – Managing Successful Programmes.
• Accredited NEC4 Project Manager.
