Product Owner - Automation & Self Serve transformation

We’re partnering with one of the UK's leading service management organisations currently undergoing a huge digital transformation, with automation at the heart of the strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Product Owner to play a pivotal role in launching a new self-serve platform and driving automation across the company's customer service and sales operations, and embed automation across core business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery and define requirements for a self-serve customer platform, ensuring a seamless end-to-end user journey.
  • Drive automation initiatives across customer service and sales operations to improve speed, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring clear prioritisation aligned to business goals and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, operations, and stakeholders to translate strategy into deliverable increments.
  • Define user stories and acceptance criteria, supporting the team through delivery and refinement.
  • Track and communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to senior stakeholders.
  • Use data and feedback to measure success and continuously optimise the platform and automated workflows.
  • Support change management and adoption, ensuring teams are aligned to new processes and capabilities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager delivering digital products/platforms in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of platform delivery, self-serve experiences, and customer-centric design principles.
  • Demonstrable experience driving automation to improve operational processes, ideally within customer service and/or sales.
  • Experience with automation/integration platforms such as Workato or Boomi is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to align competing priorities and influence at multiple levels.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using metrics to guide product decisions.
  • Familiarity with Agile ways of working (Scrum/Kanban), backlog management, and iterative delivery.
