Responsibilities

Day-to-Day

• Designing and building scalable backend systems in the cloud
• Owning systems end-to-end — from idea to build to production
• Working closely with product and design to solve real user problems
• Making key architectural decisions that shape the future of the platform
• Improving performance, reliability, and security across critical systems
• Mentoring others and contributing to a high-performing engineering culture

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience (Kotlin, Java, or similar)
• Experience building and scaling distributed systems
• AI Tooling (you'll use Claude, Cursor or similar daily)
• A product mindset, you think about users, not just code
• You value clean code, testing, and long-term quality
• Comfortable making trade-offs and moving at pace
• A collaborative approach, low ego, high ownership
