FULL DESCRIPTION

General Laboratory Operative

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group is hiring on behalf of our client. This is a part-time, temporary role for a Laboratory General Operative to support a busy soil and environmental testing laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thorough cleaning and washing of laboratory apparatus, including sample containers, tubs, trays, and testing equipment
  • Ensuring all lab equipment is cleaned to required standard and ready for reuse
  • Supporting soil and environmental testing operations through general lab upkeep
  • Cleaning and maintaining work surfaces and designated lab areas
  • Assisting with handling, organising, and moving soil and environmental samples
  • Disposing of waste materials in line with lab procedures
  • Carrying out general housekeeping and support duties as required

Experience & Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when cleaning equipment
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions carefully
  • Comfortable working in a practical, hands-on role
  • Able to work independently and as a part of team
  • Previous experience in cleaning, warehouse or laboratory environments is required

Additional Details

  • Location: SK14 3QU (Hyde area)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 11:00AM – 03:30PM
  • Pay: £12.71 per hour
  • This is a temporary ongoing role with an immediate start available
  • Applicants must be fully available Monday to Friday, 11:00AM – 03:00PM
  • Work Location: In person
  • Benefits: On-site parking
