Audit and Accounts Assistant – Fixed Term (Guildford)

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] are an accountancy and tax advisory practice. We are looking for an Audit and Accounts Assistant (Fixed Term) in our Guildford office. This is a full-time, fixed term role for 12 months with hybrid working options.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Predicted 2.2 degree or higher in any discipline.
  • Preferably 5 GCSEs or equivalent to include Mathematics minimum grade 6 (B) and English Language minimum grade 4/5 (C).
  • Educated to ‘A’ Level (minimum 120 UCAS points from top 3 A levels excluding General Studies).
  • Experience of MS Office products, in particular competence in Word and Excel.

Skills and Personal Qualities

  • Professional attitude when dealing with clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to form good relationships with staff and clients.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate work.
  • Ability to plan and organise tasks/priorities and effectively meet deadlines.
  • Self motivation and uses initiative appropriately to resolve problems.
  • The ability to work flexibly, with willingness to travel to client sites and the Firm’s other office in London if required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with audit and accounting assignments and the preparation of monthly or quarterly management accounts as required.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
